Lead Applications Engineer
Overview
You would be our lead customer-facing technical expert responsible for actively driving and managing the technical evaluation and application of the EM software products for current and future Nullspace customers.
In this role, will be helping our customers understand how to solve their complex RF challenges using Nullspace simulation software, onboarding new customers and getting them started with Nullspace tools, and supporting our sales team by clarifying the technical needs of our customers to better qualify opportunities.
You will also work closely with our marketing and sales teams to help develop content for marketing materials, including: relevant articles, blog posts, webinars, and video tutorials, and act as the company’s technical resource for internal teams, customers and partners.
You will work closely with the development team in helping to shape our development roadmap by bringing valuable customer feedback and insights to our development team to help guide our product roadmap.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Work directly with the executive team in a key technical role supporting internal and external stakeholders
Be the Nullspace product expert, engaging with both internal and external customers and partners to understand their technical requirements and engineering design workflows; analyze how customers requirements can be addressed using Nullspace products
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging and technically accurate marketing content – including: case studies, brochures, webinars, presentations, videos, whitepapers, and social media posts
Work with the product team to develop and deliver training courses to defense, aerospace, comms and automotive customers
Collaborate with the product team to help provide technical support for current customers
Work with Nullspace sales and product teams to coordinate and execute technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including: technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations
Collaborate with the Nullspace product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product features and functionality
Test new releases of Nullspace products, develop new examples and assist with the creation of software user guides
Qualifications
Basics:
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or green card holder required)
An M.S. or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or related subject
Fluency in English speaking/writing / excellent communication skills
A thorough understanding of electromagnetic concepts
Knowledge of 5G system, Phased Array, Digital Beamforming, Microwave components, Communications, Radar systems, etc.
Hands-on experience with Python and Matlab programming
Ability to collaborate with all levels of technical users and management
Curiosity and eagerness to learn
Preferred:
Experience in antenna design and EMC/EMI applications
Understanding of computational electromagnetic methods
Experience with simulation tools like Feko, CST, HFSS or XFDTD
