Business Development Representative
Overview
As our Business Development Representative you will play a key role in creating and developing opportunities for generating new business for the company. This is an exciting role for someone looking to grow in a sales role in a fast-moving technology sector!
In this role, you will partner with our sales and marketing teams to uncover and nurture leads with the goal of delivering qualified sales opportunities for your team. In this role, you'll get to own the company's sales growth and lead introduction of Nullspace's technologies to new customers in aerospace, defense, automotive and communications industries.
You'll focus on generating qualified leads through significant engagement in a business-to-business environment and use of multi-platform database resources to identify and profile new customers. You'll have the opportunity to work with our Account Executives and Applications Engineers to expand existing accounts (blue chip OEMs).
Key Responsibilities
• Hunting and qualifying sales leads, uploading clean data into the CRM
• Identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts
• Generating new business and interest through new logo prospecting and account-based
programs, involving email, calling campaigns and in person conferences
• Effectively partner and work across sales and marketing to achieve company targets
• Research, identify and create new market opportunities through targeted engagement into
prospect accounts
• Collaborate with marketing team on campaigns (including: marketing materials, seminars,
webinars, events, trade shows and digitally-led customer engagement programs) and ensure traffic
generation at these events
• Ensure the data integrity and consistency in CRM by updating the lead and/or contact info and
account/prospect intelligence gathered to provide visibility to market opportunities.
• Develop and communicate ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting for and
qualifying leads
Qualifications:
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, physics, math or related field with 1+ years’ experience in a sales or pre-sales environment of technical / industrial software products
• Demonstrated outstanding record of customer service and customer satisfaction
• Experience with HubSpot and other CRM tools
• Experience in leveraging social media to identify and engage with key decision makers
• Excellent telephone etiquette and computer literacy skills
• Well-organized, self-directed team player
• Fluent in English - verbal and written
• Travel: 15 - 40%
